- Max MWe had business in Alpine & had reservations for that afternoon at the Spicewood. First time visit & based on the reviews, worth a try. Here's our experience. We arrived for our 4:30 appointment. You can't get in for dinner before that time. Or so I thought. We hit the door right at 4:30 & there were already customers inside at tables. Not sure how that works, I didn't ask. Our waitress was named Isabella. She was pleasant, soft spoken, very cordial & had a very pleasant disposition. She seated us, gave us menu's, gave us a few minutes & checked back. We were given dinner & drink menus. The prices are a little on the spendy side, but the restaurant is designed quite well with a glassed in patio with a fireplace on one end, with a couch & chairs and on the other end a TV, a small stage with some furniture. In the middle are low & high tables depending on your preference. The entire restaurant has a very heavy wood (cedar) ambience. They have a fairly wide selection of food on the...
- Allen HOut of a five-star rating this place absolutely earned 20 plus stars. I was disappointed as we went at 8:00 Thursday evening for dinner, and they were not accepting any more tables for 45 minutes due to not having enough servers. Was going to write it off as another letdown experience from a restaurant in Alpine. But... Had the opportunity to swing by for lunch today. It was absolutely worth the wait. I ordered the brisket cheesesteak, and it was by far the absolute best cheese steak I have ever had. The waiter forgot my fries, but quickly fixed that. From the sourdough bread, to the cheese, peppers, onions all piled on top of the brisket the sandwich was superb. French fries were good in size, crispy skin and soft center. Great food, great atmosphere and my only let down is that it took me to my last day in Alpine to make it to find this gem in the rough. Great job team at Spicewoods!! And to top it all off to hear Christian music softly playing in the background was a great addition.
- W B#WhereLegendsLounge World class restaurant with an international feel. The steaks are mouth watering. I like to hang around the bar and eat there. Large open floor plan, lots of glass with a Southern exposer outback back - sunken patio - for smoker's and outdoor dining, Plenty of tables inside, fireplace, room for large family gatherings. All the waitresses practically run in an out of the kitchen, the chef assistant delivers your main course. There is always something new with the bartender's with top choice calls on liquors. The Margaritas are just like I like them You will find the Spicewood at Quarter 7 restaurant is part of a larger property. It has a special purpose building out back for a gathering place for seminar's or isolated conventions with it's own kitchen or food truck. They have an indoor heated pool and spa in an out building near the hotel. The hotel is excellent with a massage therapist and spa. At the hotel front desk, has a fully stocked snack bar wi...
